Oh no, I really didn’t realise it was this bad doing twisted grip. I’ve never had any pain or discomfort when doing my tg Ayesha and tg butterfly. Crazy. 🙁

I knew it. I bloody knew one leg was better than the other lol my right leg is going to have to wise up at some stage and be on the same level as my left lol.

I never thought I’d get past the blistered hands but eventually it just stopped happening. Mine were awful they would seep and not repair, each week in pole class I would be restricted in what I could do just because of the blisters they were getting me down so much. Nearly 3 years later and it’s ended FINALLY! When I learn a new move that I keep doing over and over then I do get a bit of a bump but it’s nothing major and doesn’t effect me anymore 🙂 hooray for hard durable skin at last lol

It will get better I promise 🙂

I always learn everything on static. Without a doubt. I think you need to master the move before adding spin. In my studio we learn on static and I’m glad we do, it means we can focus on holding the move more. If we had spin I think I’d put too much effort into trying to spin than actually focusing on the principles of the move! Spin is beautiful though and I do love it now that I am used to it 🙂

A fad? Funny because pole has been expanding for well over ten years so how is that a fad? We would all be over it by now. I HATE to see things like this BUT everyone is entitled to their own opinions (unfortunately). Don’t know who she is but you know what, frig her because pole for me has changed my life. And all my friends and family can see it too, BODY and SOUL.

November 22, 2013 at 5:25 pm in reply to: How has your body changed?

All this talk about how my body would get stronger, fitter , more defined and toned was starting to annoy me because I wasn’t losing any weight and I wasn’t noticing anything changing until about a year in, I was going out one night and out on a dress I hadn’t wore in months. It looked awesome. My back used to be very chunky and I had huge arms in my eyes , but none of that was present anymore! It felt like over night I had changed because I hasn’t noticed anything happening, I focused in the scales too much. Now as I’ve got healthier and learnt more about fitness and healthy eating in general I realise it’s not about the scales, it’s how your defined in different parts of your body. I’m still not tiny but I’m so happy with myself now and my confidence is soaring all because of pole! IF you told me 3 years ago I’d be an advanced poler today, I would have laughed. Lol. But it’s happened and I love it and my body loves it too, even the bruises because the benefits outweigh the small things 😉 my arms are stronger than most people I know hehe and it’s awesome!!
