Thanks Runamest! (Sorry if I spelled that wrong) my profile photo that was the one and only time I got the v invert and it kills me I can’t get it again! And yes I sometimes have a hard time with comparing others to myself. But thanks for your tips and I will Def give it another shot on my own terms instead of the studio!

It’s not a mystery. I know that people have that reaction. I was surprised at it on the page but not really. I am happy with it that’s why it’s on my vehicle. I am a bit snarky any ways but sadly I have to defend what I do regularly whether I had that sticker or noT. I am a bit more surprised at some of these comments more so then the people trash talking it 🙂 but still not offended or hurt or anything. I still feel it’s unique and funny to me. And my husband supports it 🙂

My husband’s response is that yes it’s snarky but really it’s in the perception of the person who looks at it. People who pole dance love it, people who think strippers are bad are offended, and people who think pole dance is inappropriate won’t like it either. Most people just laugh or smile about it but it’s all in how you perceive it 🙂

@pole is new to me… I didn’t see the sticker as that in anyway. And have actually had it for more then a year with mostly possitive reactions. If it was negative no one said so 🙂 I was surprised it took so long for someone to post it on a page like that. like I mentioned I never would have put it up if I thought it would be offensive to any one. I already get people who give me grief for pole so I like to advertise it and thought this was more fun then a sticker that said I love pole fitness 🙂 and none of the comments say anything about making women look boring or conservative (I’m conservative and very religious too lol) they all just assumed I was a whore/skeezy girl who sleeps around. So I don’t think they took it that way either l

Luvlee has your chiro/physio therapist wrapped you yet? With kineo tape or something like that? My ribs kept popping out and we’re supposed to be good to go… I ran a 5k and when I was done 5 ribs were out. It’s awful. I feel you on that. My chiropractor had me buy this super flex sports tape that he showed me how to apply and. After a few weeks of that my ribs never had an issue.

Thanks tamarinda 🙂 I had posted it on my personal page and knew if I had tried to defend myself or my sport it would only get worse. Plus… with me being a “plus sized dancer” I knew it would be extra harsh once they stalked my profile. So instead my friends tried to defend me lol. I had told them I knew it wasn’t about me personally since the comment or didn’t know me. But it was still harsh and my friends felt the need to speak up. It was touching lol

Haha so I have seen this but it always said girlfriend not wife. So I had it made because I think it’s funny and it opens people up to ask about it and more for me to talk about pole fitness. I wouldn’t have made it if I thought it would be found rude or offensive. If the other girl was obese or purposely made fun of I wouldn’t have made it but because it’s your average girl symbol I loved it 🙂

I am a military spouse but unfortunately military spouses get hated on alot. They often get called “dependas” or women who depend on their husbands. “Only married them for housing, pay, and benefits ” usually talked about as being lazy or fat or mooching because many are stay at home moms. Also usually labeled as cheaters because many do since thEir husband’s are always gone.

Now I don’t say any of that, I don’t belong in any of thosE categories either. I have unfortunately seen many spouses who cheat and can’t live while their husbands are deployed or at training. it’s awful
… b u t it’s not only military wives who cheat. So yeah… they assume since my husband has that sticker and is in the military that it automatically makes me a whore/stripper/cheater. And pages like that are just set up for bullying really. But I got a good laugH. My husband said he had multiple people find him the next day and I apologized and he said “no, it’s ok. Gives me a chance to explain about pole fitness” he got several people asking where I take classes and where I bought the sticker. So I’m taking no harm in it but was a bit surprised at all the attention it got lol

My old studio used to teach it was ok to kick into it. So I did. My new studio won’t let you. I feel like I took 10 steps back. And it’s very frustrating. I am also doing pole crunches and leg lifts but it’s very frustrating and I’ve been doing pole for a year and feel like I will never be passed the beginner stage. I take classes 4 times a week plus these lessons. It’s quite disheartening but I know once we have the strength and nail it it will be beautiful and will work out for the better in the end. That’s the hope anyways lol

I am a plus sized poler as well!! it was hard for the year I was in a studio for all the small girls to get moves instantly and it would take me weeks and it was because I had a lot more to lift/invert and what not. but pole is my LIFE and I am so addicted, I don’t care what people think of me and not being thin. one day I would like to compete but that will be a few years down the road! welcome to the pole family!

My 1st pole teaCher said to name it something good so you “always wanna be up on it!” So mine is named Hugh. After Hugh Jackman! Because I always wanna be on top of him! Lol. People know that’s my pole name so sometimes my posts on Facebook are like this “Hugh and I had a rough day today.. he gabe me bruises *sigh*” lol but everyone knows what he is ♡

Thanks 🙂 I am a larger body then most pole danvers and thats what makes me more nervous when people watch. My husband said its whats so impressive for him to see if that I have to lift so much more then some girls and struggle alot more but I push myself anyways because I dream of being as good as the girls I follow 🙂 I love heels thats why I started pole! Id get kicked out of a gym if I walked in with heels to work out lol. You ladies helped me alot! Thank you!

My pole is also in my bedroom lol. But yes, I do more “tricks” even though im still very limited. I have never been good at dancing. I don’t have any flow or rhthm in me. I think that’s why I don’t like to do it as well. I have taken all kinds of dance classes and nothing fit or gave me any skills. This is the 1st time I felt like it was for me and that’s probably because I am more gymnastics oriented 🙂 I wanted my husband to see me do a showcase but didn’t get a chance before I left my studio. We move to Hawaii next year and there will be a studio there I can go too. So hopefully I will be able to finally make a routine and be in a showcase. That’s my goal 🙂

Thanks for those messages!! Yes I think most people even when they see my videos don’t think of it as fotness. I think my husband even thought it would be more sexy but oh well lol. Thanks again! I have felt in a rut too learning on my own. I don’t progress like I did in a class but I’m glad for this site at least I have something… lol. Thanks again for the comments!

Thanks. I actually took 2 lap dance and 2 strip tease classes but haven’t done that either lol. My husband is much smaller then I am and I have never sat on his lap because it worries me lol. Hopefully I can just go for it one day and see what happens lol

I sweat like a hippo and it makes me furious beyond normal means. My husband almost gets irritated that I practice because I get so angry. Use all different grips and still have issues. However, I use shaving gel on my legs and it works wonders. Like seriously. Rub it in thick like lotion and it’s wonderful. I use grip on my hands and legs but you are right if I sweat elsewhere then as soon as I try a move where I need to grip and I have grip aid but the sweat is there it turns into failure. So try some gel shaving cream all the way down your legs and up to the thighs and see if it helps 🙂 I use aveeno because I’m allergic to most shaving things lol

Oh yeah looking at, the floor is never a problem lol. I LOVE being upside down. Been doing handstands since I was 5 and cartwheels. So I’m all over that. Which thankfully I was a pro at the handstand in my class and it was the 1st time I nailed something on the 1st day… granted I have 15 years of practice but still! Lol. Thank again so much!! I will give it amother try in a day or two 🙂

Thank you so much! Yes this was the 1st time I got the knee to even stay in place so I was too mind blown to think hard on pulling it down. Normally I am pro at pointing my toes and I definitely see how that would help. I also was able to pull my self up into my “pole pocket” on my hip just a little… but thinking of the belly to ceiling is a helpful hint! I had just been taught this at my studio and 3 weeks later I moved out of state with no pole atudio…and seeing all the girls post their photos of this has been making me even more sad that I couldn’t get it. I have been poling for 10 months but feel so far behind everyone else lol. I know it’s just my personal journey that matters but yes… I still compare lol. Thanks again for the tips! I’m gonna be so bruised tomorrow!! Haha
