so i went through the assembly instructions for this new pole and i´m sorry to say i wasn´t very impressed. maybe it´s because i´m an old fashioned girl at heart, but i really like the fact that the normal x just screws together. it´s a no-brainer. ok sometimes the threads get stuck, but in general it´s a really easy to put together and take apart, you can even do it by yourself.
the kendra pole needs 2 people to set up. the new x system seems kind of complicated. they state plainly that the screws and keys will eventually have to be substituted, you can´t use any type of grip products, the connections might flare, you can´t use water on it (i wonder how it reacts to sweat?), and it doesn´t spin! too many don´ts and can´ts for me.
i did like the new ceiling mount though, i´m wondering if anyone knows if it´s possible to replace a normal x dome with one of these? the floor mount thing is cool too but i don´t like the idea of having the threads on the bottom of the pole. i´m a total clutz and i can just imagine myself nocking off the foam and ripping my toes into shreads,plus if you have to cut it to size then if you put up your pole in a different place with a different hight it won´t fit properly.
the fact that you have poles on the inside might give the pole less flex, wich is good, but the maximum hight is actually less than a normal x if i remember correctly.
all this just to say that although it seems to be a good pole (definately not carmen e type) i would not trade my pole wally (50mm chrome x) for one of these no way!!!!
and a normal x only costs 10$ more if you buy one here from veena who gives free shipping!

oh wow! look at all the free publicity your new studio is getting! classes will be packed in less than no time!
btw the owner could send a polite invitation to this michelle phiffer character to come and try a free class. maybe 2. there would be a better chance of her actually showing up if she could take a buddy and chances are strong that at least one of them would love it and the whole scandal would go down the toilet. (on the nasty side you could secretly film her taking the class an then use it to keep her mouth shut! just kidding!)

i did both the downloads of chrome on my mom´s and mine and i didn´t change anything, just kept hitting next so i dont understand. on my mom´s i have to open a separate window with explorer to get into chat. took me a week to figure that one out, was so pissed. -
i´m using google chrome too but it only happens some times. on my moms computer i can´t get into chat, at all, with the chrome. maybe it´s something with the settings? i´m totally clueless about computer stuff (omg https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_surprised.gif things with lots of buttons scare me! lol). i really like the chrome though…

girl you need to rest! rome wasn´t built in a day! you need to give your muscle a chance to recuperate. take a nice warm bath or put ice on the sore bits or both. the pole will still be there in a couple of days!

i´m not sure if its the same problem… so i have a really crappy net connection, takes me forever to download a vid to watch but thats normal. what is also happening alot lately is that when i click on a vid to watch i get the page with the descrition and all the comments and stuff but no vid! i don´t think this has anything to do with the connection though. is this what´s happening to you? does it happen to anybody else?

i´m glad you have lots of support from your kids and friends, as the transition to being your own woman can be bit hard, especially after so many years of coupledom (i just made this word up didn´t i?). i so hope you will be as happy to be single as i am! ( i am stupidly happy to live my own life)

i went 4 yrs without getting my period. the doc couldn´t find anything wrong with me and one day it just came back. it might have been stress but who knows. then i was super regular to the day for about 2 yrs and now i´m all over the place. it´s not always like clockwork. but take a blood test to ease your mind.
and sweetie, maybe you should get back on some kind of birthcontrol if you really can´t risk bringing any more lovely foxies into the world just now….

i´m so happy you´ve found out whats wrong and that you are on the road to recovery!
i didn´t want to say this before, not to freak you out, but in general doctors just don´t listen. my whole spine/muscle saga went on for over 8 yrs because nobody took my pain seriously and they just wouldn´t listen! i got passed around like a pingpong ball from general doctors, orthopedists , reumotologists, etc. untill finally i got sent to a psychiatrist (sorry i don´t know how to spell any of this stuff.lol) because it was probably all in my head! i did go and finally he listened! his thinking was you´re a dancer who knows your body, if you say your in pain it must be so and promptly sent me to a friend of his who is a sports doctor with one of the major portuguese futeball teams. he was in shock at the results of my exams and sent me to a neurosugeon. it could have been easily fixed with fisiotherapy if anyone had taken the time to listen. instead i had to get the operation and alot of fisio besides all the years of pain. plus i lost some of my range of movement and can´t spot anymore. very dizzy piroettes now.lol
anyway, sorry about my whining here.

totally understand the carpet thing! icky! glad that the ballet slippers are working for you. if you get sick of that, besides the plywood idea you could also try a big peice of linolium with 2 sided tape to hold into into place (if the carpet is not too fluffy of course).
