Lol yeah sorry… I felt like a real b*tch after posting that, and I thought about changing it but someone already read it! Oh well, it’s just one of those things that makes my eye twitch a bit when I see it, that’s all. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_redface.gif

It does look neat, and not to be picky or anything, but that’s actually a round-off… with a cartwheel you keep your legs apart and land one foot at a time, just like a real cartwheel… I’ve seen several other people make the mistake, too.
I haven’t tried it, but it’s on my list! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

Lol thanks, but that was pretty straight-forward. The pics I used had plain, solid-colored backgrounds so one click of the Magic Eraser, crop to what I wanted to use, rotate or flip around, resize, and then drag onto the new image. If I had used a pic of a real person it would’ve been a little more difficult…
I’m feeling challenged now… hmmm… *opens photoshop again*
Ok I’m just editing this post to add what I just did so I don’t double post…
Not the greatest and not too much to it… I’ll probably take this down before too long before I get emails telling me they’re going to sue me for using the Wii logo or something stupid like that…

Once again no big deal… hardest part was the hand.

I dunno if I’ve missed this option somewhere, but is there a way to unsubscribe to all new forum posts somewhere??? I’ve been trying to make sure I’m unsubscribed to all the forums, but I’m still getting a million emails every day leaking through… is there a master turn-off somewhere, and if there isn’t, can there be???
I don’t mind the emails letting me know I have a new message in my inbox, etc. but the ones about every thread I’ve posted to are the annoying ones…
Oh and is there a way to be notified of new comments to videos that you’ve posted or if someone replies to a comment that you left on a video??? I’m always getting comments on my videos, or commented on someone else’s and they replied, but have no way of knowing without going back to the video itself and looking…
Like I said, this may be an option somewhere already that I’ve missed. Thanks!

It’s not letting me upload pics (still) so I’m linking back to my Photobucket account:
First try, if I’m bored I may do more https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif I was hesitant to use a pic of a real person for fear they’d come after me…

Oh dude I’m so Photoshopping something like right now!!!
*opens Google image search to find pics*
I’ll post it when I’m done with it! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

Hehe I want to do an uncut one, I keep putting it off cos I have really sweaty hands and have to wipe down the pole alot, but weather is improving so hopefully that will help https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif
OMG I’m exactly the same way! I hide it by either doing my really grippy moves at the beginning (notice my April Challenge vid started right off with a reverse grab), or I do the "sexy" thing and rub my hands on my hips… it’s just to hide the fact I’m wiping the sweat off. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_rolleyes.gif
By the way I hope I didn’t completely crash your thread by jumping in with the whole "Oh me, too!" thing… I was just so happy I wasn’t alone!!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_bounce.gif
And Roxy, I’m trying to be sooo careful about the whole move checklist thing that you mentioned… I really want to learn some new moves, but I want to make sure I’m doing them right first. It’s all about self-control!!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_salut.gif

Yay!!! Congrats!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_sunny.gif
Same here in NY where I live about the weather thing – I’m going to be majorly working on some inverted moves the next few days! I can do the butterfly, my extended butterfly is kinda sketchy… and since you mentioned the caterpillar climb, I may just try that one, too! Thanks for the reminder!
My bruises are actually all almost completely faded, and I’m feeling like "Oh no, that means I’m not poling hard enough!!!" As if I’m not doing it right if I’m not injuring myself in the process! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif
But again, great job! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

W T EFF!?!!?
Ok first of all I could photoshop a better pic than that!!! ( and I just may, just for fun…)
And as someone who got suckered into buying an Electra-pole, I’m rather angry about this… How can peekaboo possibly market themselves as a "real" dance pole??? I still have the piece of crap laying under my bed… store wouldn’t take it back without the original box, so at least now I have something to compare to.
But I’m truly hoping that this isn’t going to happen for real… for the sake of all the poor souls that land flat on their tookus and/or face from using the peekaboo pole

Oh you just reminded me – I’m only 5’4" with rather small hands myself (my ring finger size is a 4.5, so you can imagine how small my hands are!) and I don’t seem to have any problems with the 50mm. But like I said, up to you.
Is there anywhere you can go to test them out??? https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_scratch.gif
X-pole minimum height is 7’4", but you can go shorter… I have 7′ even ceilings, and I had to buy an extension and use it in place of one of the standard poles. 7.5 foot ceilings would be fine for the standard kit. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

I have just one, but it was a 2-part process. I’m very proud of it because I designed it myself, and other than the crappy job they did on part 2, I don’t regret it. I made sure to put it somewhere that can be covered up and that probably won’t show much when I’m old. I see residents at the nursing home I work at with tattoos, and you can’t even recognize what they are anymore… I’m also Christian, and it’s a cross, soooooo….. yeah.
I got the cross itself first; was kinda trying to incorporate a crown of thorns kinda look without actually drawing thorns – the result was a gothic-looking cross that kinda looked like it has tips like holly leaves… A couple years later I felt it needed something more and had the swirl and some diamonds added around it. I wanted the diamonds to look more like sparkles, and look much more symetric around the cross, but the guy insisted on drawing them onto my leg instead of doing a transfer and also said he couldn’t make them any smaller because of his outlining needle… I went somewhere else to have it touched up where they told me I should’ve walked away and those guys were full of bullsh*t. It looked better than it did, just a lot more loud than I was going for.
Anyway here are the pics of the before and after. It’s (obviously) on my right ankle, about 3.5 inches long…

this second one was taken just after I got the addition done, it looks much more even after I had touch-ups. -
the 50 or 45 mm refers to how big around the pole is, so a 50mm is bigger around (50 mm = 2"). Tricks are supposedly harder on a 50mm; I have a chrome 50mm and have never used a 45, so I couldn’t vouch personally. I’d recommend the 50 because that’s the standard – it’s usually what’s found in clubs and such. But if you have really small hands or something then maybe the 45 would be your best bet. Also, you can always start on a 50 and maybe someday be able to get a 45 if you’d like; but if you start on a 45 and then try to go to a 50, then it’ll seem much harder to you.
Good luck, and really either way you can’t go wrong! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif
