Ohhh I’m glad I’m not the only one! I was so worried I was going to get a bunch of replies saying "Screw him! You’re an adult and blah blah blah…" That’s true to some extent, but it’s not like he’s not trusting me; it’s the exposure. You know what I mean???
He didn’t care so much about the video I put up yesterday of the 5/16 practice, except he thought the outfit was too skimpy https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif I thought I was covered very well considering how much skin you need showing! So I think we just need to sit down and discuss the parameters that he’d be comfortable with and such, too.

I used to be able to do a cartwheel and pull my hands up half-way through it, or do it one-handed and pull my arm up when my legs got just over my head. Never could do it entirely aerial… I kinda wanna try it again https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_tongue.gif

Your not imagining things….it IS taller than any other stage pole I know of. I think the actual pole, stage not included, is 8 0r 9 ft tall and it has spinny mode! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

I can’t do splits, if that makes you feel better. I can do like a half-split thing with the back leg straight behind you and the front one bent in front of you, and I’m nowhere near a middle split. One of my goals is to start stretching every day towards doing splits and being able to get at least one form of them! I’d love to be able to do a jade split on the pole and actually get my legs flat… *sigh*

That’s been a popular question… I didn’t order mine through here because I needed an extension and Veena doesn’t have them https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_silent.gif But somewhere else Veena’s answer was basically it purely depends on when you order it (if it’s over a weekend, etc) and where you live and such.
I ordered mine straight from X-Pole and it shipped from CA. I live in NY. I ordered it on a Friday, order wasn’t processed until the following Monday because it was right before closing, and I got it the following Friday. So you’re probably looking at a couple days min. up to a week max. I picture it only making a mess because it’s going to kinda bead up and dry instead of being a nice even coat, you know what I mean? Also it’s probably going to be rather gummy I would think, so it’ll be all over you. Any time I’ve ever spilled soda somewhere it took several days for it to dry up enough that it didn’t stick to you when you touched it (I can’t remember where I spilled it that I would leave it for that long without cleaning it, but anyway…)
Even if it did dry up nicely, I picture it being too sticky; like you just glued yourself to the pole.

I’m confused – are you talking about the little buttons on the ring that holds the adjuster cover up??? https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_scratch.gif I didn’t put the adjuster cover on my pole at all… It’s not completely necessary, just don’t hit it or anything (grease and such, the threads are sharp, etc.).

I’ve had issues with sweaty hands, too, and I think I may have found a product to help with that, but I’m still considering going for the titanium… BUT I want the platinum color and I’m in the US. So could I feasibly order a titanium pole in the platinum from another country and just be charged a few limbs for shipping???
