Hehe just to clarify, when I say "front" I mean the side that’s facing you… the whole front vs. back thing confuses me, too.

I posted too! As much of an idiot as I feel for buying that Carmen Electra pole, it’s great to be able to post a personal experience… *sigh* When will these poles just go away?? https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_rolleyes.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif

I’m planning on it as soon as I get a new camera! My husband hinted that my mom was thinking about getting me a new one for my birthday, so we’ll see… I haven’t forgotten about it, though!
I still haven’t quite figured out what I’ll be doing, I have to do some more brainstorming… I keep switching ideas, I can’t make a decision and just go with it!

instead of wrapping your right leg in front of your left leg wrap it around the back of the pole, like you do when you stand on the pole only upside down!
That’s backwards – her right leg needs to be in front of the pole, left leg behind it. Your outside leg is always on the front side of the pole; so if she inverted on the other side, you would be right, Meleania.
When you invert, just take it slow (make sure you do all the things Rouge said) and hook that outside leg up and over first, then bring the other leg up behind the pole. Nice, slow, controlled – gives you time to think about what your legs are doing. If you can’t do it slow and controlled, it means you’re not strong enough to be holding yourself up there yet.
Another good idea, which is something I did, is to lay with your back on the floor and practice the leg position. Pull your legs up the pole as far as you can and grip like you would if you were hanging there so you can learn exactly how to grip with your knees. If you do it enough, it will begin to feel natural and when you do it up on the pole you won’t have to think about it.

I get that in random parts of my body quite a bit – almost like a strange throbbing-twitching feeling… kinda hard to describe. I get it in the bend of my knees the most frequently, but I’ve gotten it on the inside of my foot just under the ankle bone before and other strange places like that… https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_scratch.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_neutral.gif
No idea what causes it, so I’ll be looking for answers myself!

*sigh* When I get a new camera (dunno when that will be…) I’m so going to make another "Why Peekaboo Sucks" video – except I’ll compare it to my X-Pole and I won’t be constantly tipping the camera sideways in it like I did in my last one lol. And I’ll post that one on YouTube so I can be part of the effort to put the word out against these types of poles…
I still have my Carmen Electra Pole… it’s stuffed under my bed, but at least I can make some good use out of it at this point https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif

You said your shoulder blades are really sore??? Dunno if they are sore from you doing this or not doing this, but one thing to make sure of when you’re inverting – something that didn’t get through my head until I really strained my back right between my shoulder blades – keep your shoulders back and down. Think of squeezing your shoulder blades together as you’re pulling yourself up. I was ok doing inverts without doing this, but when I learned the chopper it really ended up hurting my back. I couldn’t even invert without it hurting after that… But Veena showed me how to do it right in chat once and I’ve been fine since!
But if your shoulder blades are sore because that’s exactly what you’re doing, then great! It’s a good habit to get into from the start! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

Woo-Hoo! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_bounce.gif I’m glad you finally found someone who actually gave a damn AND who could tell you what was wrong! So yes definitely do what he said so we can see you back on the pole again as soon as possible! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_salut.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

Well since you were looking for a doctor’s note for work, maybe he wanted to talk to you in person about that instead??? Rather far-fetched, I know, but I’m trying… https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif
Is it possible you’re other "complications" from before are starting to manifest itself in other ways? Good news there would be there’s no STD but it’s an existing condition…. I don’t know.
I did some poking around the internet and I’m finding a lot of people that have a urine test done with white blood cells but no infection were also complaining of back pain (lower back)… are you having any pain like that??? https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_scratch.gif
Another thing I’m finding is it could be a sign of inflammation in the kidneys…http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20080302105740AAvKuZi Somewhere else I read that there could be some bleeding going on in the bladder, but that there would be red blood cells as well… can’t find the link now…
But no matter how you look at it, it looks like it’s a problem exclusive to your kidneys or bladder. Blood doesn’t normally get into urine because the kidneys filter them out. Kidney stones is another possibility. http://www.steadyhealth.com/White_blood_cells_in_urine_but_no_infection_t71754.html
But unless you asked your doctor to do a pregnancy test, I doubt that’s it. Also being pregnant itself wouldn’t cause white blood cells to be in your urine…
Disclaimer: I’m not a doctor, just a concerned friend using Google https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_tongue.gif
I’m sure everything will be fine, Glitter, and just as before, stressing about it isn’t going to make tomorrow come any faster. Remember we’re all here for you, too! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif <~~~ "hug" substitute

The standard is 50mm. If you take your current pole down and measure the diameter, if it’s 2 inches across then it’s 50mm. 45 is easier to grip but if you ever try to use a bigger pole after that, you won’t be able to grip as well. It’s always easier to grip smaller than what you’re used to and harder to grip larger. So it would probably be best to start out on a 50. Hope this helps!
Oh forgot to mention that I’m glad you decided to get a better pole and that you didn’t hurt yourself on that crap one! I started on a Carmen Electra pole – piece-o-crap! It never fell on me, but it was really flimsy and I got sick of it after just 3 weeks. I don’t regret buying my X-Pole whatsoever! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

Oh I’m so jealous! I’d kill for a private lesson with, um, just about anyone because I’m self-taught… https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif But that’s quite the list of moves to accomplish in one lesson, you have every right to be proud! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

LOL Veena! Sex dungeon… sounds like fun to me https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif
Most of my friends know about the pole but I’m not sure about my family… my dad and uncle just added me on Facebook yesterday, where my default pic right now is me doing a butterfly… https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif Oh boy.
I’m sure I’ve told this story somewhere, but when my pole was delivered it went to my mom’s house next door. I’m in a hayfield behind her house and at the time, delivery trucks couldn’t get here. My mom got home early that day, about half an hour before the truck pulled in. This was my 2nd pole and she knew about the first one but refused to talk about it. I got there just as she was helping the guy take it off the truck. He told my mom he thought it was some kind of "swing" (as in, *wink wink* swing). So now my mom thought we had a pole now we had a "swing", too! She proceeded to tell me I was going to be a bad influence on our daughter because we’re going to have a bedroom full of kinky sex toys and props. She was just as disgusted when I told her it was a new pole… she didn’t understand why I "wasted my money" on buying another (or either one of them ,really).
I tried to take the opportunity to show her some videos on YouTube but she reacted like the videos would put some strange "sex" virus on her computer, and so did my sister (the one with a ton of piercings, is a big party girl, etc. and who I thought would be more open-minded…). I ended up storming out the door as soon as my husband came up the driveway to help me carry it home. My mom still won’t talk to me about it.
My daughter is only 19 months old so the challenge that Sissy is facing hasn’t presented itself yet. Right now the challenge is my husband, because when she runs up to the pole and doesn’t the "run around spin" https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif. he gets all uncomfortable because our little toddler is playing on a stripper pole. He’s aware that he’s being a little stupid about it, so he’ll get there one of these days.
But Sissy it sounds like you’re doing the right thing for now. Just feel them all out maybe, and perhaps you’ll get your chance to prove yourself (and poling) in the future anyway. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif
