Awesome job, Glitter! We’re all so proud of you! One of these days you’ll win for sure! Keep at it!

And Joel, your entire post had me laughing… no offense! As nervous as you claimed to be, you had no shame in giving such a detailed account of the whole night. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_tongue.gif

Sascha and I are going to one next month… keeping my fingers crossed she wins! (I’m sure she will, Sascha’s awesome!)

Ditto to what Jeng said about keeping shoulders back and down. I did the exact same thing practicing my chopper (same move Jeng said, different name???) and Veena met me in chat one day to show me the right way to do it, as well as some strengthening exercises that target your shoulder blades and the back in that area.

For the strength training, look up Veena’s video on shoulder strengthening exercises (it’s on YouTube and here). She has a thing called ITYs or TIYs or something like that. (the letters refer to the position of your arms) But watch that video, then do what she says for the T position, except hold your arms further back and it’ll target more your shoulder blades and such than what the exercise is originally meant for. That’s what Veena told me to do.

    Hope this helps!

This actually crossed my mind once too, Glitter, but I didn’t have the guts to suggest it… so kudos to you!

Here are my ideas, I already have people in mind for all of them hehe https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif
    "Most deceivingly innocent" *wink*wink*
    "Most energetic"
    "Fastest learner"
    "Most Poise"
    "Most versatile"
"Biggest mouth on the forums" (you can take that however you would like)
    "Most inspiring"
    "Blooper Queen/King"

Ok I’d better stop this list is getting too long… hehe https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif

Congrats, Trena! It’s the day where all that planning and stressing and pole withdrawl from both pays off! I hope it goes well! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

I noticed the naked lady in the upper right corner right away, but that was because I hadn’t scrolled down yet and just the tops of your heads were showing, https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif

That’s awesome! I’d love a lesson with one of the pros… heck I’d love a lesson, period! There aren’t even any studios out here to try to get to invite her to https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cry.gif I guess I’ll be a perpetual self-taught pole dancer

The instruction manual has a diagram in it, it’s like on the last page or something.

The poles slide in however you would like them to in the bag, generally the biggest on the right then working their way smaller as you move to the left in the case. Then take the base of the pole, loosen the hex screws like you would to convert to spin mode (don’t take them out entirely) and that little piece above the base will come off. It has its own little tiny case. Then take the main part of the base and slide the peg sticking out into the hole in the dome. They go into the case together like that.

Like I said, there’s instructions and diagrams in the instruction manual that came with the pole.

When you click on Video up along the top of the site there, right above all the video thumbnails it’ll say "Upload Video". Click on that, browse for the video, fill in your tags, title, and description, click "Upload" and there you go! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

Awww Veena that was beautiful. I would’ve started crying myself but my jerk husband was sitting next to me making stupid comments like men do and almost ruined it for me (I punched him in the chest before the dance came around so he stopped… hehe). But it’s great hearing how much the site means to the great Veena herself https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

I think more thanks needs to go to you, Veena and Webmaster, for this site than needs to go to us. So thank you to both of you, and happy 1st birthday to StudioVeena.com! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

    Hey everyone!

I ordered a couple things from her a very long time ago, and we went through quite the adventure for me to get them… hehe. But I got them in the mail today and I’m very happy with them! I made the designs for them myself and sent them to her. She was nice enough to throw in a couple extra things because of the long wait, too! In the end, I ended up with a large kaychain, a large button, a large and small magnet, and a mint tin. They turned out great! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

Now for the adventure: I sent her a personal check instead of a money order, obviously with the agreement she wouldn’t send anything until the check cleared. No problem. I sent a check. It was like 2 weeks or longer or so and I hadn’t heard anything, so I sent her an email to check. She said she was waiting for me to send a check! I was like, "Um, I did… a long time ago!" So that check was MIA. I went to the bank to cancel the check so I could send a new one, but they charge a $25 fee to stop payment on a check! I wasn’t paying $25 to stop payment on a check that was less than $10… please.

So I sent a new one. She got that one, yay! Well I forgot to date the check. It’s usually the first thing I fill in, too… The bank wouldn’t cash it for her. Well we weren’t sending it back to me just for me to write in the date, that would be stupid. She just dated it and took it back a couple days later.

Well she sent me the stuff. But over a week went by and I still hadn’t gotten it. Mind you, I’m in NY and she’s in Connecticut… shouldn’t take that long. She checked with the post office and said it would be here this week. And lo and behold – it came today! Finally!

This has been like a 2+ month adventure… lol https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif But I’m patient, and it was worth the wait. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif Those mints were tasty, too https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

Several of us have been there and done that with buying a crap pole first… *raises hand*

Send it back if you can. Save up and buy an X-Pole… if not an X-Pole, then Lil Mynx or Platinum Stages. As long as it’s SAFE!!!
