https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_thumleft.gif Me likey.
I did a video comparing my old Electra Pole to my X-Pole and had it on YouTube. I removed it from YouTube and my computer died before I had a chance to re-upload it here https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif I’ll double check and see if it got transferred to the external with my other files, but I’m not sure if it did… I’ll put it up if I still have it. -
*goes to find some old videos*
Am I the only one who feels like they have to redeem themselves after making stupid comments like that? https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_tongue.gif

My big huge mirror is from my husbands closet door! I just pulled it off the track. The mirror with the silver around it is from Ikea. Ikea also has so cool small mirrors that you could put side by side to make a large mirror. I think they are about 9 bucks a piece. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_sunny.gif
Mirror with the silver??? https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_scratch.gif Where’s that one? I’ve always heard you talking about your mirror being from Ikea and the only one I’ve ever seen is the big one by your 12 foot pole, so…
I’ve been doing a lot of putting my foot in my mouth a lot lately. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_silent.gif Maybe I should take the hint… https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif

I’d bug ’em. Even if you’re worried about being the customer that never stops calling or whatever, you’re still the customer and you’ve been more than generous by waiting this long. Also, the more you call and annoy them, the more they’re going to want to satisfy you so you leave them alone. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_tongue.gif

A sticky thread about the different types of poles as far as diameter and finishes and such would be cool, Sissy, we get those questions a lot… we’re actually getting a lot of repeat questions with the forum getting more members. But really if anyone just runs a simple search or browses around for a few minutes will find any of that information. So maybe a sticky thread wouldn’t be necessary after all.
While I’m at it, I just want to say what a friendly environment it is here as far as that kind of stuff goes. I’ve been on forums (anime forums, not pole dancing) where they bite your head off if you post a repeat thread, double post (posting more than once in a row in a thread), or don’t say anything meaningful to add to the idea. While it does irritate me when I see a newbie on the site saying they couldn’t find an answer to such-n-such question when an exact same thread is listed only 5 links below it, it’s nice that they don’t get yelled at, that their question is answered, and/or they are simply referred to the other thread(s). This is the first forum I’ve seen with no moderators, too.
And getting back to the original topic, thanks for everyone enjoying my video. I appreciate all the support! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

Veena’s big mirror in her bedroom I believe she said she got from Ikea. I love that mirror… And from the looks of it, she just has it standing up against the wall; it doesn’t look attached.
For one of my walls, I just bought 2 cheap full-length mirrors and put them up next to each other. I left the frames on, but it would work better if you took them off. They were only like $5 each.
Also, I have sliding closet doors in my bedroom. We needed new doors anyway, so I talked my husband into getting mirrored doors. So now I have another pole mirror, it makes our dinky room look a lot bigger, and I have a mirror for the original intended use for seeing how I look when I’m getting ready.

Redke’s tutorial is to a scorpio, not a gemini… she listed it wrong at one point I guess. (I suppose you could do it to a gemini, maybe??? I haven’t tried)
Here’s the link to Redke’s tutorial just in case… She puts in written stuff in the video instead of talking so maybe that would help you:

You’re going to be much more vertical doing the CAR than the CKR, I think the only thing that really stops you from tipping all the way is your butt https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_tongue.gif Once you get more muscle built up in general and get more accustomed to the move I think you can hold yourself up a bit better.
That’s what scared me so much when I was learning this move was how vertical I ended up being. I can do the move, but I think I’ve only maybe done it half a dozen times, to be perfectly honest.

I personally hate the CAR… I feel so insecure doing it. I can do it’s reverse, like coming up from the floor from a handstand against the pole, but I always feel like I’m going to fall otherwise… *shudders* I’m much more a fan of the cross knee release… can you do that one??? https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_scratch.gif
For the CAR, though, just find that sweet spot between the thighs that you can squeeze the dickens with, then tip your back back and tip your legs up BEFORE you let go with your hands. If you feel like you’re going to fall, then don’t let go. Doing it that way also reduces the pole burn a bit, too. When you feel comfortable enough to let go, don’t lay back all the way (if you can, lol) or let yourself down slowly. If you did all the tipping stuff first, your legs shouldn’t be moving so the change in your upper body position shouldn’t bother you too much. Just remember to not stop squeezing! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_rambo.gif

Also what helps is when you use the little allen wrench, put the short end into the screw so you’re using the long side as a handle. This gives you better leverage and you can tighten the screws tighter. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif
