Yep, I learned the hard way to keep my hips in front of the pole and my body close to the pole. I had a huge bruise on my hip when I was behind and too far away; I banged hard into the pole during the move! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_eek.gif That was one of my most painful bruises that I've experienced so far. Ouch!
I'll work on keeping my fan low, as many of you suggested. It didn't even occur to me to try to do baby-steps with this move. I'm bad with learning: I try to do it exactly like it's taught and, when I have trouble, I don't think of ways to slowly build up to that move.
So, low and straight…that's what I'll work on next time I pole. Thanks again!

MemberFebruary 18, 2011 at 1:01 am in reply to: For sale or trade: Art of Pole Volumes 1 & 2Runemist, I got the DVD's today! They won't play in my DVD player on the TV but they work perfectly on my computer like you said. I watched the first one right through and a little bit of the second one today to check them out. I love them! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif Thanks so much for trading!

I'm loving the pet/street names! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif Mine would be Midnight Mavista Acres (it wasn't a street, it was a huge cul-de-sac of acreages in a small town). I'd probably shorten it to Midnight Acres, but it still sounds more like a place to live than a name. LOL

Charley, the french fireman? That's a variation I've never heard of and would love to see. Can you point me in the direction of a picture or video of this move?

I'd like to sell or trade right away, but people aren't exactly coming out of the woodwork to get these DVD's! lol
I understand about school. I'm doing the college thing, too, as well as working part-time so yeah…I can totally relate to the weird schedule and lack of free time. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif

Thanks, too, Webmaster, for chiming in regarding the regions and different formats.
I'll wait a little longer to see if I can drum up a trade with someone but, if all else fails, I will simply offer my Art of Pole disks for sale and put the money towards those new purchases.

My first one was on cassette: Electric Youth by Debbie Gibson. Wow, that takes me back. I remember dancing around my room with my stuffed animals and got caught by my mom. How embarassed was I ???? https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif
