I do not see a problem with pole for the kids. I myself teach bellydance to children. My youngest student is 5 years old. People still have a problem with children learning bellydance even after they have seen what bellydance really is. I wish we had a pole studio in my area. I just started pole at home and my niece is really interested she is 12 but her mom said NO WAY!! She will not let me pole if she is at my house. I told her I don’t get it. It is not dirty if you don’t make it dirty. I agree if you don’t make it dirty they will not no it is dirty.

I freaking love the street poling!!! On my way home from my first class I was looking at everything I could turn into a pole. I am glad I am not the only one. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif

I have not read all the replies on this post yet, however I was just thinking about this the other day. I am new to pole and I have had mine since March of 2005. I have a problem with the right side it has a "fold" so my doctor says. It sit’s lower than the left and drives me insane!! I have to place a push up on the right side in order for it to sit up like the left one. The doctor see’s no reason to replace it I wish he would!
This happen about 2 years ago. I have 270cc gel silicone above the muscle.
Thank you for starting this topic https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif -

I am thinking maybe I should now go with the 45mm. I had more grip with spinning and I will just have to work on the climb. Thank You everyone for your help. -
Ok so I do not think that I will be competing any time soon. So I will go with the 50mm X-pole.
So what x-pole is the best? -
oh my goodness I just dont know what to do??? Ok as a new pole person what would you all recommend?
-
So I just took my first pole class in portland oregon and the studio had both 45mm and 50mm poles I tired them both out. It seemed like the small pole was easier to spin but harder to climb. I need to get a pole and am torn on which size to go with. It seems like most of you like the 50mm.
