I teach and also continue to take classes. One of the most important things to me is that the instructor knows how to spot. I completely trust my instructors and I always feel safe and confident when I’m trying a difficult move for the first time. In my Beginner/Intermediate and Advanced Pole Instructor Certification trainings we focused and were tested a lot on spotting techniques and I think that’s so important.
Also, being warm and friendly and making the students feel comfortable, and being receptive to what they want is super important. -
You could side climb into a Jasmine. (Veena’s lesson calls it a Shooting Star) So instead of inverting into it, you could side climb into it. From there you can rotate into a Scorpio, and then you are inverted. 🙂

I love WEN for my curly hair and I use it as a leave in conditioner also. Instead of brushing, I use a wide tooth comb while my hair is wet in the shower, after applying the Wen conditioning cleanser. 🙂

Think of “smelling your knuckles” when you are in your elbow grip. (when trying to do a reverse climb or ayesha) Literally, your hand is in a fist and your knuckles are trying to touch your nose. (not actually touching) Get that elbow close to your knees. So, your forearm will actually be at an angle and not straight.

I just checked lululemon.com and they have a version of the Hot n sweat short available called "Some Like It Hot Short". I think they're the same shorts as hot n sweaty, but sizes are limited since it is running out of stock. If you're instersted check it out. 🙂

I have the yoga direct pink round one. The material ripped/tore near the velcro the first day I got it. I went to take it apart and it just ripped. The material is not the best quality.
