MemberJuly 28, 2010 at 4:55 pm in reply to: Official Midwest Pole Jam Info-August 7 in CHICAGO!!!PDR – I was nervous as all get out when we did our Detroit Showcase and it had been a very long time since I had performed anywhere for anyone and this was the largest crowd I had performed for and it was fine.
It’s good experience to get out there and perform especially for those who want to compete (I am not sure if that is a goal for you.) One thing I realized was – what I can do alone in front of a camera is different than what I can do when I in front of people. the nerves, the forgetfulness, the fumbling – it all happens and at the end of it no one notices any of that except you.
I just did a comp this weekend and lost but what I did say was this "If I am this nervous for a small local comp what am I going to do if I ever get accpeted into the USPDF or something else?" You are a good dancer. Let us all enjoy you https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_mrgreen.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

It so depends on the angle and the dancer!
I love the Remi, scorpio, aysha’s, straight edge, brass monkey, eros, twisted ballerina (and all variations of it), figure head, there are many sits that I think are gorgeous, plank, superman, bow and arrow, jade and half jade, so many…

Hi Hooked on Pole…that was me. I found that as an anti perspirant that tite grip needed time to work and actually prevent sweating so I apply it before I pole – an hour or two and I also throw couple of coats on. When I use dry hands after Tite grip it provides extra grip for working on new things…if I just use dry hands it gets slimy on me really fast because I sweat so much.
I hope that helps. I have platinum grip at the moment and it’s similar to DH and I still only use if I used TG because otherwise I can sweat though that stuff too.

I really like that itac offers samples because each person is so different. Some people swear by dry hands but if I use it without tite grip I fly off the pole after a few seconds. I know people who hate tite grip and I personally swear by it. I would like to try mighty grip but I don’t think they give samples and grips get expensive over time.
I also was slippery after using Empy’s Grrrrrip and I know she swears by it – so I look forward to trying that one again on clean dry hands.
I wish I could sell all of them really.

Fawnia gave me the iTac sample she had gotten at the pole convention, when I did a lesson with her in Vegas last month. Now, I don’t know which level it was, and I do not have sweaty hands and normally don’t use grip aid at all (unless I’m working on a new hold and am scared of falling.) The iTac worked well for a few minutes–we were working on true grip cartwheel mount. But all of a sudden, it went from tacky to greasy. Like, slick and greasy. I almost slid out of a cartwheel. I had to wash my hands and the pole to get it off.
Has anyone else had this experience? Did I do something wrong? https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif
Also have to say, the smell was awful.I tried some of Karols and I had the same reaction immediatly – I slipped off. I had dirty tite grip covered hands though so Iw ould like to try it on freshly washed hands and wait for it to dry. I also got itac4 samples too just see.

I am not sure but I know PS has started branching out into the UK…try writing them an email maybe customer service can help you sort it out. They usually get back to you pretty fast.

These are great shoes to get started with!!! the platform isn’t super huge, they are very cozy because they are padded – seriously of all the shoes I own – these are still the best! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif
