thanks everybody, i’ve had this problem for about 10 years, saw 4 doctors and a dietician, an herbalist, and other naturopaths. i’ve been forced to an atkins/protein diet for 4-5 years, because i get sick if i eat carbs.

i have candida syndrome, candidiasis, which by itself is notoriously difficult to cure, nearly incurable, and mine is by far the worst i’ve heard of.
i’ve read books and forums and websites and spent thousands of dollars on natural remedies, i’ve studied herbalism.

i can’t eat any dairy, except some half and half if i’m daring, and a cheeseburger (minus bun) is ok. i can have like one strawberry or a few blueberries, but its mostly not worth it so i don’t eat them. i can have lemon juice straight, and i eat tons of almonds. other than that, its meat, eggs and salad veggies like broccoli and asparagus, spinach, onions, peppers, tofu or avocado sometimes. i can’t have deli meat or most sausages or chicken/egg salads because they all add sugar. every now and then i have a ‘veggie salad’ from the organic deli with some wheat berries in it. no pasta, no rice, no noodles, no cereal, no crackers/chips, no popcorn, no bread, no pizza, no fries, absolutely no candy, pop, cookies or donuts. no apples, oranges, grapes, pineapple, banana, plum, nectarine, no juice (except lemon or lime), no dessert.

i used to take garlic pills and probiotics every day for months and months, but now only occasionally because there was no change.
i’ve tried everything.
you can’t see it, you can’t catch it from me, its all inside my body. i can’t have any cotton in my bedding or nightclothes because it starts itching. about twice a year i have to throw all my bedding out, because it gets my skin ‘dust’ in it and itches.

i hope someday it will be cured, but i’m ok eating my really expensive diet and spending a lot of money on vitamin supplements, because my diet is so restricted. i spend tons of money on the best spices (painstakingly finding ones with no sugar) so my food tastes good! i love spicy asian/curry.

just an aside, my dr called today with my test results–all clean!
tho they say it can take 3-6 months for some antibodies to test positive after contact…
i get tested every 6 months

i was tired out so didn’t put it up til yesterday
its like christmas in spring! i have a huge special pole in my house…!
that is hard, to get your hand/wrist muscles to grip. but it grips to my skin too well, kinda hurts.

oo, i love this, i have a huge area rug that covers the whole room, (and its under furniture so its not going anywhere), but it has squares! so i can move it just along the line to stay on the joist, AND remember where to put it back up when i take it down https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif i like this idea. and i can remove the carpet if i want to, i have hardwood floors underneath.
OH and i got a $3 magnetic level which is MADE for xpole, sticks right on there https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif and a $20 stud-finder which the older guy at home depot said, without pausing a beat, will work through plaster. i was having trouble being sure about a joist, so i got one. seemed to work well double-checking with the knocks, and made me feel much more confident about my rented ceiling https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

i just started here, but i think it would be nice (but probably hard to do) to have your lesson videos auto play one after another. its kind of awkward to have it end and have to go back after a minute or 3 to pick another lesson. maybe its just that i’m new. or maybe have a repeat option?

youtube has a new feature that lets you link vids in a series so they all autoplay…but this site video looks totally different from youtube format…?
