My ceilings should be fine – I know where the joists are, though I’m a bit confused by the instructions on the x-pole website which say put up the pole between joists. Surely it should be in line with a joist, not just onto the plasterboard?? Is that a typo on their site?

Why are there different sizes (45mm vs. 50mm)? How do you decide which one to get? Is it worth paying the extra for the special coating for good grip or is that really for advanced users?

    Hi all,

    Thanks for the welcome https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

I am living in East Berkshire at the moment but am going to classes in Buckinghamshire because they’re closer than any others I could find. I have been researching poles today – are the xpoles really the best? Ideally I would like a pole that I can transport in the car (my boyfriend is very keen to see what I’ve been learning, lol but it’s a long distance relationship so I usually end up travelling to his place!). I’m a bit wary of buying a pole from ebay – do you have poles at home or do people manage with only practising once a week?
