I’m feeling kind of in a rut too. My pole room is kind of in disarray. My new pole is up but I barely got a chance to use it… I did manage to get myself motion sick though. And I’m feeling weak (PMS isn’t helping).
I need to get back in my groove. I was happiest trying new things… And learning moves. Lately such an emphases has been placed on dancing I don’t feel like I’ve progressed at all. When I’m trying to flow I usually don’t attempt things that look messy. Then those moves start to slip…
Also this is silly. But if my camera isn’t charged or my memory card is full it makes practicing more annoying. I like having my camera set up and ready.
Everyone feels like people are progressing faster than them at times… But I’ve seen you pole. You’re strong and fluid. You’ll kick this rut soon!

I know exactly what you mean about not wanting to miss things. It sometimes does feel like there are hidden gems laying around here. Every now and then someone will post a link to a video or lesson I haven’t seen… Then I think to myself “what else am I missing?!l” but usually the lesson was right where it should be I just missed it because I was skipping around. 🙂
SV has so much to offer!

Thanks! I’m already in love.
-
Thanks, That helps. That’s pretty much how mine is… it’s very fluid when I’m on it. I think I got it just about right. 🙂
-
Ava. Loved it. This is one of my favorite videos ever. 🙂 It’s not really a collection of fails as it is a testament to how hard you’ve worked to be as amazing as you are.
-
Haha. My son is almost 11, and hasn’t used the wagon in years.
That is everything but the pole. I don’t really bring it anywhere besides in and out of the garage and it works just fine for that. -

I have the EZ connect model… And my main problem with it is the joints. Also, I thought the new quick connect did require you to screw in those bolts. I could be wrong though.
I wrote a review of mine here:
https://www.studioveena.com/forums/view/4fac34de-3294-49f4-8dcd-166b0ac37250You need to scroll almost to the end. I’m starting to wish I just made my own thread, it’s kind if hard to find this way 🙂 oh well.
Anyway, I’d call them. They are super helpful.

Yes. I still have it! I’m not sure what shipping is, but my guess it will add an additional 40 bucks or so. If you’re up for that let me know. I’m off tomorrow and I could potentially handle packing it up and shipping it out.

If someone could easily do a move they wouldn’t need to attend that class… So the right thing to do would have been to modify the moves for different levels of ability.
If your level 4 teacher hasn’t told you to go to a level 2 or 3. Then I wouldn’t worry about it. I’d stay with instructors who encourage you!!!

There was a YouTube video of Karol poling in jeans with butterfly balm… I think this is it.
Super grippy! If you search on SV for butterfly balm I think it was Chem who said its Cramers paste. 🙂
-
I remember there being a thread about butterfly balm (which is reportedly cramers firm grip… It comes in spray or paste) and that stuff seemed like superglue
-
I’m not sure there is too much, I think the X-joints are slightly different…
But if you were deciding on buying a 2013 or 2014 I don’t think is a huge difference. I could be wrong though.

MemberJuly 18, 2014 at 9:51 am in reply to: Whats it like learning to pole by yourself?I go to the pole studio 1x per week and have Veenas lessons. Best of both worlds.
Veenas lessons are so well organized and so helpful. I love having them at home…
But I also love my studio instructor. And feel like I need her to keep me motivated. If I done have that hour a week I could easily see me just shutting the door to the pole room and all my progress just slipping away. That hour ever week keeps me motivated and energized to pole throughout the week. She also challenges me more that I would challenge myself.. And I need that.I so need Veenas lessons because I feel like I need those tips and tricks at home when I practice. Sometimes I’ll just watch a lesson or two when I’m not even poling and just try and absorb it. That can also help if my motivation is low.

And then sometimes TG means Twisted Grip… To bad it wasn’t called gold titanium. That would be easier. Hehe.
-
Men! Ugh!
He’ll be sorry later 🙂
-
I felt like that at first when I used TG… But I got used to it, I don’t apply the same pressure or something… I’m not sure. I have a chrome but after playing more with the TG at the studio it’s next on my “to buy” list.

I’m up for an August Abs Challange!!! That would be great Veena.!

🙁 ugh. I had self-diagnosed plantar fasciitis a few years back… It hurts!!! You want to be careful about over stretching to let the fascia heal. I found rolling it out on a tennis ball to really help.
Also maybe seeing a podiatrist? I know you’re seeking medical care, but as someone who specializes in teeth/oral cavity… I know how impossible it is to know everything about everything. But it’s not just about knowing things, sometimes it’s about seeing things…
When someone is seeing feet all day it’s much more likely they will have come across someone with your particular pain and what helped them… Rather than someone who is seeing arms and backs and knees. Ya know?

Ok, it’s been getting to the point where I’m going backwards! It’s hard for me to even hold my original 51 seconds. I think my core is tired. My inverts are sucking. I need more rest/recovery. I’m going to keep going for another day or so and see how it pans out. But I might need to pull out. I’m definitely liking planking though and will try and incorporate it more in my exercising regardless.
How is everyone else doing?
