A good stretch for the hip flexors I have been doing is to sit in your split but the leg that is behind you instead of pointing your toe, you flex it and hold yourself in almost a backward oversplit on the ball of your foot. Keep the leg straight though! It takes a lot of patience to get a flat split like this! If this is confusing ill try to take a picture this week!

Oooo I <3 all these stories they’re so interesting! So mine came from when I first started pole I wanted to come up with a sexy sounding alter ego. I always draw stars on my school notebooks and I always liked the name Raquelle so I put thattogther then I started writing it and if you say it fast it kinda sounds like rockstar and I <3 rock music lol! My real name is boring (Alicia) so something exotic sounded better! On everything else I usually use AliciaInWonderland21 my boyfriend came up with it and I was born on the 21st!

Hey it what I said was totally not meant in a derrogatory way toward anyone whasoever. I had heard a LOT of other people say the same thing that day (and worse things I care not mention) about their feelings about the seletion process and just in the heat of the moment kinda agreed with it. I didn’t mean it in a bad way at all and I deffinitly didn’t see ALL the entry videos either, I just get really worked up sometimes I’m sorry if my opinion made anyone mad it was a suggestion

I like both spinny and static! Its just a different technique on each pole, some moves like the scorpio jade and allegra I think look prettier on spin, and it actually makes it harder! Like I can kick into a TG perfect on stationary, but can’t do iton spin to save my life! They are just ignorant!

I know I’m not givin up! it’s just that my video was unique and different from all the other submissions I saw because I incorporated my ballet/lyrical dance training with my pole work and I have a different style that’s why I don’t get it. Not saying everyone elses were bad because they deffinitly were all awesome, but the styles were all similar and I though doing something different and unique would get noticed….they offered to critique in my rejetion letter so I asked them for it beause I really don’t understand what I did wrong, so I’m waiting for that!

Oh yea so I didn’t get in and yes I’m upset but I expected it because I apparently suck! This is my 6th competition rejection in the past year and I wanted it so bad because I made up a few tricks that I don’t want to show until a competition….I guess I’m not good enough for any competition not just them. So I just got my itac2 and I like it. You only need a little little bit I used way to much the first time if you use too much it leavs nastyness all over the pole!

I’ve been using Prince Grip Plus, its for tennis players and you an get it at any sporting good stores. I really like it, I also have mighty grip which I don’t partiularly care for. I just ordered iTac2 when it comes ill let you know how it is! I’ve only used grip aid for the past 6 months or so never used it to learn but I like it becauseit makes slipping one last thing to worry about!

Congrats hun! I wish I had entered drama I was going to do my "Pole en Pointe" choreography,but hurt myself filming the stupid trixpert entry…….I should have sucked it up on the last day and put something together probably would have had a better chance! Oh well there’s always USPDF and APFA (which I KNOW I won’t make!)
