MemberJuly 8, 2010 at 6:53 pm in reply to: Polarity Pole Competition Submission VidsYea I think edited is ok, I didn’t want to do it edited but i bruised a rib and can’t really do the tricks I’m capeable of for probably annother week https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif I really wanted to enter drama and do a better version of my June Challenge, went and bought a costume and everything, plus I’ve had this awesome idea cooking in my head for literally years but I’ve neverbeenable to get into a comp to do it so Drama would havebeen perfect! The beginning of my video was the origional dance I created for my trixpert entry but then my camera shit the bed and I couldn’t re record (and of corse all thegood stuff is AFTER the camera stopped) so I used what icould salvage and editeds the rest https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif

Completly self taught here too! Dvds and youtube were all I learned from, I suggest getting a crash mat or a spotter for inversions! Good luck I’m sure you’ll be fabulous!

Name: Alicia
Age:24
Location: Stonington, CT
Stage Name: Raquelle Starr duh lol
Lessons or Self taught: Self taught, I teach lessons now
Spin or static: I love static because I feel like I have more control, but spin makes a lot of moves look prettier
Shoes or Barefoot: Used to ALWAYS wear shoes but now I like barefoot better
Favorite pole move: hmmmm…. always loved the superman, I’m really liking the TG handspring though lately
Day Job: Jewelry Sales Associate, I get to play with shiny stuff all day hehe
Your best/sexiest feature: hmm legs and boobs I guess haha
How you got into pole dancing: Well, I was at a bar and they had poles and this girl climbed to the top and did tricks all the way down and my jaw dropped! As soon as I came home I started googleing it but this was 4 years ago when theyre really wasnt much out there and most studios were in Europe, so I started trying tricks on everything I possibly could, including the post of my bed!!!! Saved up $, bought a pole, and voila!
How you found out about studioveena.com: came across it on my epic search for more pole moves!
If you were a pair of underwear what would you be: Boy shorts! I love them!!!!yay that was fun!

Yes! Or almost take out someones eye like I accidently did once, ever since then its always ankle straps! RIP blue light up shoes with no straps https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif

My favorite shoes are by Pleaser the style is Adore. They come in all different colors/patters etc and are actually pretty comfortable! I have been wearing the hot pink uv ones lately but I have them in black with rhinestone skulls on the side and clear with uv butterflies in the platform! I have so many pleaser shoes, my mom came over and saw them and was like "I’m not going to ask" LOL. Just make sure you get ankle straps you don’t want a shoe flying off mid-performance!

I believe most of the workshops can be tailored to any level and she’s also going to do a strength and flexibility class which is great for beginners!

The most unique/technically difficult routiens will be chosen…. those are the exact words off the application! Hope that helps! Now what I don’t know is if you are allowed to use editing in your video???
