I've decided to share my journey of getting back on the pole. I've had plenty of long stretches without pole dancing, but I've always done some kind of exercise while away. I am out of shape and my clothes don't fit. This does not mean I think I'm overweight by any means. I'm just ready to start getting back to doing the things I love. I've already started training and I've kept track. Filming the days I've practiced so far. The videos I'll be sharing are almost 2 weeks behind. The other day I was even able to make a tutorial for entries to bow and arrow. I paid for it the next day though, I'm still sore! I'm still not yet where I once was but I'm hoping my sharing will inspire others just starting or coming back.
Colleen Paid MemberI’m so glad I saw this! Thank you for your honesty. I didn’t stop exercising, but I took a year off from pole when my pole studio in Chicago closed due to COVID and other issues. Now I live in Florida, and I’m back to pole classes and pole exercise. Except, I’m older now from when I started 10 years ago, and my body doesn’t bounce back as well as it used to. Still, I won’t give up pole until I’m too to do it!

VeenaThank you for your comment! Yes, this time back is different than 13 yrs ago when I had my last baby! I'm not pushing as hard but so far so good! Where are you at in FL? I loooove the St Petersburg area.

Colleen Paid MemberHi! We moved to Fort Meyers, and we love it! We haven't been to St. Pete yet, but it's on our list as we continue to explore the state where we live!

Tara Paid MemberI really appreciate you sharing this. I’m doing a bit of resilience training to strengthen my mind to endure all of “life‘s happenings“. It has been overwhelming. As an empath, this resonates with me. Welcome back to your journey and thank you for providing us seamless education throughout your time off. I wish you and your family well.

VeenaHUGS Tara! It's very mentally draining as an empath, I've been exploring what works for me. I know for sure I need time alone, without the pole. As that is seen as work in my mind. Trying to change it back to fun!

Sandit1973 Previous Paid MemberWelcome back. I'm just starting back after nearly 8 years off the pole. I have zero grip strength and little to no upper body strength at all. So looks like we are both starting over. I just put my pole up tonight so tomorrow will be my first official day back.

Loving the 30 day takeoff.. just what I needed to get out of a rut! I find the daily routines perfect in length and intensity and a great way to shakeup a stagnant workout routine. Plus, now I am limber and warmed up to do some practicing
