How long can you use an aerial hoop?
I’ve had my aerial hoop for just over a year now, and I’ve just removed the grip tape to check its condition and also to retape it… I’ve discovered a small spot of rust/corrosion and am worried about retaping the hoop…
I can’t leave it untaped because a) it’s got lots of sticky remains from the old tape on which would be annoying and b) because the tape protects it from scratches as I have to store it in the corridor and have to squeeze it through small doors to use it…
Which leads me to wonder, when is the moment when you can no longer use an aerial hoop because its safety is compromised? Can I do anything about the corrosion or is it something I have to keep an eye on?
