    Hey all 🙂

I’ve just started pole and loving it already, I wish I found out about this sooner! I have a question about grip, I’m such a clammy person haha so my hands get really hot and clam up which is a pain when climbing ect. Can anyone recommend somthing that could help with this? I was also told there is a special hand creame..is this true?
    Thanksss

Dry Hands is probably the most popular, but there are MANY products. Cirque du Soleil performers sometimes use Stunt Grip. Because everyone’s body chemistry is different, there is no one product that is the holy grail for all dancers, so start with Dry Hands and if that’s not working for you, move on to something else, such as Girlie Grip, iTack or… well, there really are too many to list them all.

Yeah, dry hands and tight grip work well for clammy or sweaty hands…tho itac will make it more slick.

I’m often clammy and I like Dry Hands or Grrrip Plus. itac is better used on body parts than on hands.

I also recommend training basics lots. When I first started pole there’s no way I could do a reverse grab spin in the middle of a routine because I was so sweaty. As I’ve taken many steps back in my 12 years on the pole I found that I would sweat less when I was really confident in what I was doing.

if it wasnt for dry hands, i would not be able to pole. if someone says the word “sweat” my hands start dripping. it’s quite gross.
