I've been doing aerial hoop for a few years but now I want to try new things. I'm trying out 'Lollipop' for the first time soon (a hoop on a pole) and might try pole after that. Any advice?

you should give pole a try, I think you would progress really fast.

I ended up doing pole instead of lollipop (studio issues) and had a great time. My thighs were burning afterwards! I managed a couple of spins and some seat holds, nothing too fancy yet but thankfully my strength and high tolerance for pain helped me survive the hour.
