Wondering if anyone knows how our beautiful and talented pole stars set their rates for private lessons. I've seen anywhere from $100 an hour (no rate increase for 2 people) to $250 for two people. Has anyone seen a rate as high as $250 or more? 

When you say "pole stars" I'm assuming you mean well known polefessionals like Marlo, Veena, Alethea, Jenyne, Evgheni, etc?

I have seen $250 for a single private, I have paid $150 for a private before.

I think it depends on what you want to learn, what are you learning for, are you doing just tricks or do you need someone to choreograpa a routine for you - etc.

I think some set their price based on what they want to make an hour for example if there is a 6 student minimum at $75/student then that instructor woiuld make $450/hour.  Plus you want to set a reason able difference between group classes and privates - a private class is typically double what a group class simply because teachers make more money in a group than a private.

Yes, I am referring to pole dancers who have competed and won prestigious competitions, if that helps.

I've done private lessons with local teachers and paid anywhere from $75 to $100 (usd), if that gives you a point of reference.  I've looked into doing a private with one "star" and she was $100 an hour, but did half and full day trainings.

If it helps I charge 40 for current students abd 65 for non pole students, 75 on a duo and 100 for a trio. And I'm cheap.

And we love you for being so cheap!

My most expensive private ever was with Jamilla last year -- $150 and worth every penny. She's an amazing teacher. 

Beyond that I have paid anywhere from $50-100 for a private. 

I'm cheap and easy!   lol!

I think that some of the pole stars are likely charging more because their time is getting booked up so fast and privates can be inconvenient when you are teaching 6 classes and only in a city for 2 days.  It's more wear and tear on the body too.  I think we will continue to see an influx in private training prices.  

A couple of years ago $75 was the standard, $100 if youwere super famous.  now I am seeing $100 as the standard, $150 and $200.  

Private rates went by around $50 from this time last year as far as I can tell with my inquiries.  I try to only do privates if I can but now I have to be much more budget concious about it.

Oh more interesting to add...I'm just a broing, everyday pole teacher - not a pole star and I still can command up to $75/hour in a private depending on what I am doing.  Like, I had girl who wanted to do handsprings for an entire hour - I charged her $75!  That's a toll on my body for sure.

So for NON pole populars like myself we still need to math things out - like if a drop in is $30 on a group class, it's a shame to charge the same price for a private.

Has anyone had a private with Zoraya? From memory, I think I paid $215 Australian dollars, and $85 for a workshop (but I would've paid whatever it cost!)
I've also had privates with a studio in Perth, Australia where I live. I think they are $95 (after a recent price rise) but they also offer a block of 5 to be used in a 6 month period) which works out cheaper, at $75. Bobbi's in Perth charges $135 (and I think $150 for Kim who is Bobbi's sister).
