I had to have an emergency surgery, and also was laid off for my job as a college instructor at the same time! I decided to use the recovery time to do some soul searching and realized that I had spent my life working so hard and taking care of everyone but me. I looked back and realized I gave up dancing, performing, all the things I enjoyed. I guess I realized life is too short to wait to do the things you love!
My friends always told me I should be an exotic dancer or performer, but I just dismissed it. I still dont know how I feel about dancing in a club. I think women should not be looked down upon for doing it.
So anyways, I got online and found this wonderful world of pole dancing! I saw TaraKatrina, Veena, and felix, on youtube, and I instantly knew THIS was what I WANTED TO DO!
So here I am, still self-teaching at home, but my goal at the beginning of next year is to be good enough to perform, and I want to travel, and dance and eventually own my own dance studio!
I have to stay inspired though bcuz this is a major change and it’s easy to want to fall back on something familiar(9-5 job!) But I wont settle for mediocrity in my life! So thanks for this site and everyone out there workin hard and following their passion too! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_sunny.gif
