Because I love all things dance clothing related, what are your fave clothes for warm up?
Posted by skramamme on June 6, 2015 at 3:04 amI’m considering getting some of those roll down waits, woolen footless tights or jumpsuits that dancers wear for warm up.
I have so many pairs of leg warmers but the longest pair, which reach the top of my thighs, roll down if I don’t have tights or leggings underneath 🙁
I saw some amazing looking 40″ leg warmers on amazon, but shipping to Australia is $72! No thank you :p
So yeah, if it’s cold out what do you like to wear over your singlet and booty shorts that help keep you warm and comfy without being bulky and difficult to remove?Plus I have around 3 pair of boots and shoes on my short list now too hahaha… god stripper shoes rock 😀

You linked discount dance so not sure if these are an option, but I love these http://www.discountdance.com/mobile/mobileDetail.php?TopCat=WU&cat=LEG&SortOrder=P&ShopMobile=Style&style=92

They are long enough to warm up in/can roll them to cover your whole leg basically, but since they’re leg warmers you can roll them down if you’re having a bit of a passionate warm up freestyle moment and need to access some thigh skin 😉
-
I’ve been using them for about a year (maybe longer?) and no roll down issues. Machine wash (not sure if I’m supposed to) and they’re fine 🙂 and in the winter when it’s REALLY cold I put them on over leggings too

Lucca which ones are they? I clicked the link but only got their main page… I have heard that the body wrapper 40″ leg warmers are very tight around the thigh if you’re not very thin (and I have muscly legs) but I really want a pair of super long leg warmers that do stay up.
Very keen to know which brand/style have worked so well for you 🙂 -
oooh! I love those sweater tights. glad you posted that cause i want a pair but didnt know what they were called or where to get them.

I just got a pair of 48 inch body wrappers leg warmers. my thighs are fat, and make me cry. but i digress. anyways, I can almost pull these leg warmers all the way up on my huge thigh. if I try to pull it all the way to almost crotch level I get that weird muffin top . if I pull it just a couple of inches lower they are snug but comfortable. they arent falling down. and dont look weird and are pretty much covering most of my leg. so I give the 48 inch leg warmers a thumbs up.

I got the 48 inch Body Wrappers. I have skinny legs but these leg warmers are a bit slouchy on me so I imagine there’s some room in there for muscle 💪 there’s also a surprising amount of stretch to them too

Looking at pics…I think they were tighter when I first got them so don’t be discouraged of they’re kinda tight at first o_O they kinda stretch out and then shrink back up like jeans https://instagram.com/p/2GYRBOmUIy/ https://instagram.com/p/yI_4c3mUNI/
This is when they were still pretty new so tighter: https://instagram.com/p/qI8Gj3mUJN/

Thanks everyone, I think I might risk the 48 inch ones.
And I feel your pain Phoenix, I find it hard not to feel super down about my body the way it is right now (although my boobs look amazing haha) but I am definitely already seeing real changes in my strength which is super encouraging 🙂
And Lucca, they look great on you and you move beautifully 🙂 -
In the winter I like to warm up in thigh-high legwarmers and a long-sleeve t-shirt. I love my thigh high legwarmers except they fall down. I may try the body-wrapper, but I muffin-top like crazy in almost anything, so yeah…
