Day 1

Jan 2, 2017
Thank you for your patience in my late post! It's been a bit of a struggle getting everything set up.
That being said, however, I took my "before stretching" and "after stretching" pictures on Day 1, in order to see how far I will really go in the next 100 days!
I'm still learning about how to put images together for Before/after, so please bear with me as I learn about this! For now, I'm going to post all of my "after stretching" images This time, I took pictures for the splits (right, left, and middle) and backbending!
Here they are:

Right Side:

Left Side:

Again, I'm still learning. I'll find a better place to get pictures, too! My kitchen is obviously not quite big enough for my giant legs, haha!

I can already feel the resistance to doing this every day. Part of me wants so much to be lazy- it says I should just not do it, too much work! Why should I stretch so much after a run? Why do I have to do this EVERY DAY? But, I've dealt with this before. I must not listen to that voice! Without determination not to give up, and to remain consistent, I'll never get anywhere!
That's why these challenges work so well for me. I have a great end goal, and it's far enough away that, in the journey, I have to create a new habit.
My hope is that I'll find comfort, and even happiness in stretching for flexibility. And, that I'll see great results that I'm proud of!

I'll be posting again with progress on January 8th. I'll post every week with pictures, and with a recap of how things have been going, and my challenges so far.

Good luck with your goals, everyone!

velvetvixen(I just realized you were the doing flexibility program. Still is a good idea to take pictures of various body states.)

Runemist34I'm sort of doing a program- it's more just a challenge for myself to work on my flexibility every day, and create the habit, so that it's not so difficult as I move forward! I really want to see if my habits are paying off, and if not, see if there are things I might change to get results. Also, it's super motivating to see myself becoming more flexible! Much easier to see results for strength and running, for me, but not as easy with flexibility :)
