had a super fun class @ crunch today =) tried to do tricks during freestyle that i dont usually do, had some trouble getting into the song... BUT!!! fast forward about 1:30 into the clip, the funnest part was after class, they left the poles up and a bunch of us stayed and just messed around. i left the video running but forgot about it so sometimes people are in front of it... oops! worked on cartwheel mount, monkey climb into a cool combo: gemini, scorpio, gemini, thigh hold, switch to the other side and do gemini scorpio on that side! good conditioning move. tried aerial shouldermount and got it twice in a row, so maybe not a fluke... got hands free gemini on one side, hurrah! tried butterfly into scorpio, extended butterfly into brass monkey, and foot hook layout into pole sit. nothing looks that good but we were having fun and laughing the whole time-- so, great night!

MilienElayne - you were on fire!!! I love how you guys get to hang out and practice after class. There's only like one two hour window a week at the studio I go to for students to practice. have my own pole, but I am hating the shortness and the chrome so much right now. are crunch's poles ss?

MilienElayne - my hands refuse to grip it and it grips my legs too much. it gets cold very quickly and is still slick when warm. I've had it for two years and the grip is not getting easier with practice or use. I can do so much more on the longer ss poles in the static studio where I take classes. I love how x-poles come apart and are spinning and static, but the chrome is doing my head in. i've ordered some rosin, which works for me in the spinning studio with older x-poles in class, so I'm hoping it might help me out with my newer one...

polergirl - I was so glad to see that side climb to invert!! I was working on that one yesterday--hadn't ever seen it done before--so it's AWESOME to see it done so beautifully for inspiration. :)

amy - it is really nice to be able to play! right now i'm working hard on conditioning and new combos and a lot of it is just stuff you need to do a few times to figure out, so it's really helpful to have pole time. i have an xpole myself-- i never use it-- crunch has stainless and so does sfactor, i like those MUCH better also! chrome gets way too grippy for me, maybe bc i learned on ss? i'm thinking of getting a PS one-piece extreme super pole and getting rid of my xpole too.

amy - thanks chica! i was shocked to get the aerial shouldermount, i haven't tried it for a while =) and the knee hook invert-- i've never seen anyone else do it, but it's fun! it's almost like a drop =)

MilienElayne - I'd LOVE to get a ss pole, but I can't sell my x -pole as the base plate is stuck to my extension and there aren't enough holes for leverage to unstick it! Oh, and I think PS shipping to Australia would be crazy expensive. Maybe I could have the chrome stripped and plate it with brass? Ever danced on brass? I think that's what they use in nationals here. Hmmm...ideas! Lol.

Danielle Tillie - I love that spinning dismount at 00:54... I've tried doing it but I haven't gotten as many spins in it. It's so pretty and you definitely inspired me to work on that one!
