strigoi - I had a really hard time with superman also, so I totally cheated and bought a pair of pleather pants just to learn the move. After doing it with the pants a few times I got it with out them!

ronia - that's an excellent idea Sanbar! I must try it. I can already do the Superman more or less but I rarely do it because the anticipation of pain is holding me back

ShonaLancs - Katana, you are SO there! You just need to push your legs out and you will have it I think! Good luck

hookedonpole - You had it as :35, just needed to finish it. Was it too painful to finish it? Getting passed the pain is the tough part, I remember so well. I'm sure others will be able to give you specifics to finish it. :) Please post when you do!

dustbunny - I agree, you very nearly have it! Just gotta let go with the bottom hand and slide those hips down. :)

PoleFeline - I am very new to pole and it's interesting/scary to me to see people who have been doing it a long time and see the pain on their faces from some of the moves?!! I guess those painful pole burns never really go away? I'm bruised from head to toe......but I love it!!

pegasusaerialfitness - oh...superpain!!! Your music is priceless. This is the only move that hurt my wrist an elbow at first.. I cant nail it every time, but I think after i try 1000 more times I will have mastered it. And then when I get it...How in the heck do you pull yourself back to the pole for a shoulder mount?

pegasusaerialfitness - @Doanythinginyour50s...they dont go away...but your learn which ones to push through and which ones to ABORT!! I always start prepping the area with little tester moves to see how painful it might be..get the skin calused up before. I will see little speckles of bruises, and then I know it's time to stop abusing that area. If you bruise too bad it will keep you off the pole for a bit.

BeccaL - I have a rough time getting into superman that way. Instead I go into a pike hip hold, grab the pole above my hips, and pull myself into the superman :)

AniRexy - I learned from the floor. From a push up position, arms fully extended, back up to the pole with it in your butt. Then hold on with one hand and bring the feet up to cross your legs. Keep the HIPS DOWN. THat's where most people have problems. Your back will be arched with the head looking up.
I hope this helps!
