Unfortunately...I have to work within some limitations in what I'm able to do and still maintain my workout/teaching schedule without too much chronic back flair-ups - so most of the time when I'm "practicing" --- it's movement based. I have been able to find so much joy in the exploration of movement "between the poles". On the ground, on the floor, in the turns and whips and movements big, small, slow, fast. It's nice to still feel free and flying even if I can't really get off the ground. :) Don't forget to explore that space between the poles, let go of the metal and feel that vulnerability. There is much joy to be found there! And SO much growth as a dancer!
