Its important to keep in mind that the farther your arms are spread, the closer you will be to your pole. This will make the move a little less difficult to balance. Take it slow moving quickly will only cause you to loose your balance!

pole-twista - LOVE the new lesson format! I was so excited to see a new lesson up! I used to be ok with this til I got comfortable with FG and now can only do w/ FG. Great job!!!

StudioVeena - Take it nice and slow when opening into v....give yourself some time and one day it will all come together :)

CalBear - if i want my left arm on the bottom and my right hand on top hand.. does that mean i have to invert on the opposite side? :)
on Dec 24, 2011 -
StudioVeena - Yes, of you want to perform this move as I show it here. You could switch hands once your in your inverted crucifix but that can be troublesome. It's not impossible
Though.

LopsiJulie - Veena it almost looks like you're doing twisty grip! How thick is your pole?
on Dec 27, 2011 -
StudioVeena - Not twisted, 45mm pole

Samantha B - Which of the inverted V variations is "easier" I'm wondering where to start is it a personal preference or is one defiantly more difficult?
on Feb 23, 2012 -
StudioVeena - which inverted Vs are you referring too? Just the different hand placement in this one? As in closer or farther apart? Or all inverted v position, like V invert, and forearm grip straight edge v?
on Feb 23, 2012 -
Samantha B - The different hand placements elbow vs split etc. I'm finding I'm wobbly in split grip (which is taught at my studio) even when i'm fairly close to the pole but I'm not all too familiar with the forearm and elbow grips yet, but if they make it easier to balance I will focus on getting those grips comfy and try it that way.
on Feb 23, 2012 -
StudioVeena - The elbow and forearm will feel more stable for most. I have those 2 listed first in the lessons because I feel it's important to learn the elbow or forearm first.....then move on the split grip variation.

Nestlee - can you do a lesson, or just let me know how to do this using the cup grip?
on Aug 24, 2012 -
StudioVeena - A cup grip?? This is a cup grip and it's used for shoulder mounts http://d2izpgaagyeguz.cloudfront.ne...

Lanea017 - I am having trouble finding my balance when I do this from Caterpillar. However if I go into it from extended butterfly it feels much more solid. What can you suggest that will help me with the balance as you show it? Thanks!
on Jan 6, 2013 -
StudioVeena - It can help to try to focus on centering your body with the pole once you've catterpillared up, instead of moving off towards the shoulder.

Lanea017 - Thanks. I love the site so far by the way!
