Layla Duvay - I LOVE this warm-up! The shoulder slide were easy the first 2 times and then...well...it got kind of difficult! I'll just have to get used to doing them so fast. They warmed up the pole perfectly, though! You rock, Veena! Thanks for doing what you do!!!

Malkai - Veena, does the shoulder have to go with the lower arm? when i slide i cant do it in that position. But if i extend that arm and have the outside arm lower I do it fine. Does the arm placement make a big difference?
on May 10, 2011 -
StudioVeena - Its best to have the lower arm on the same side as the shoulder your resting on. Be sure that your keeping the chest lifted up and using the biceps to pull the shoulder into the pole. If your extend the arm of the shoulder your resting on there is a tendency to round the upper back and allow the chest to drop. Try watching the Shoulder mount lesson for a better understanding of this move :)

Malkai - Veena Veena Veena! I got it! I went back and looked at the lesson for shoulder mount and it was still really un-natural for me but i've done it every day since I posted and I've finally got it!

Candigirl1209 - I really like this warm-up. But I can't seem to make it through the entire warm-up because it freezes... Any suggestions?

StudioVeena - Try to watch it a few times...then exit from this lessons and come back to it in a few mins....that may help.

xxPoleLovexx - I just got my pole today, so i got your lessons because so many people said they nearly give up before they got your lessons i love this warm up, walking away from the pole with it by my shoulder hurts...am i doing something wrong or is this just because my body's not used to it
on Jun 8, 2011 -
StudioVeena - Be sure that your not hanging off the pole. The shoulder blade should be in a neutral position. Take a look at the basic pole walk lesson and the pull in pole walk lessson for a detailed explanation :)

xxPoleLovexx - ahhh i brought the pole closer to my ear and the pain went away i think i was pinching my skin :) all is good now

xxPoleLovexx - Yeahhhh, i probably should of mentioned that haha sorry i'm just so excited even though all i'm doing is exercises and sexy walks, only realized how bad my body strength actually is when i got my pole this morning

1 people like thisIrismk - Do I do this warm-up before I start anything on the pole? Is this the one I do for 2-3 weeks before trying anything else?
on Oct 2, 2011 -
StudioVeena - You can do this warm up or once you have watched and understand all the individual strength lessons you can use the pole strength routine as a warm up too.
on Oct 3, 2011 -
StudioVeena - So this is your warm up and then you would work on the beginner lessons focusing on pole strength, floorwork and transitions.... Just go in order in which the lessons are posted :)

StudioVeena - This one is suppose to be challenging! Be sure your using the hands to help hold you, keep the chest up. Try taking a look at the pole slide lesson too that might help :)

Vixen East - Hi Veena, I never had strength exercise for the past 10 years LOL... Im very weak, so I decided to have my own xpert pole. Do I need to do all the strength workout in each session (per day) would it help to build my strength? Hope you can guide me which program routine I should do per session... Thank you

StudioVeena - Lessons are place in order so watch in order. Begin by watching all of the Getting Started Lessons for Each section. Watching all of them will give you tips on how to structure your workouts. You do not want to pole or strength train everyday. When starting out you need a day of rest in between workouts. Here are the links to all of the getting started you'll need.

SugarForest - Hi Veena! I have a warm-up question. How long do you have after a warm-up before you get.....un-warm? I ask because I often take my dogs on long hikes and then drive home and work out. I consider the hike my warm-up, but with driving time/changing clothes/etc. it's usually 15-30 minutes after I stop walking before I start dancing. I also will sometimes do a warm-up/start working out and then get interrupted. Do I need to warm-up again before I go back to the workout? I hope it's OK I'm leaving this question here...Love all the new stuff happening!
on Jan 3, 2013 -
StudioVeena - Ideally you want to warm up right before working out. But if you find that you're still feeling warm then as long as you ease into your workout it should be fine.

ShonaLancs - I did this warm up last night Veena, I have been poling for over a year now and thought all the stuff would be easy for me, but, that shoulder slide was hard! I just could not get it! My shoulder was sticking to the pole, so I put a top on and then couldnt control my abs because I was sliding too quickly...hahaha...just goes to show, my decision to go back to basics was the right decision :) so glad I have finally got around to using your lessons x
