This is an advanced intermediate spin. Please take time to do the readiness test that is placed in the lesson for this move. A strong Chair Spin is recommend before moving on to this spin. We'll take a look at both Static and spinning pole along with leg variations.
Layla Duvay - Ooooo, great lesson! I've always wondered how to do it on spinny, and you give such excellent instructions-- well done!

Cantetinza17 - O we call this the dislocater! It's funny that I have this spin, but I'm still beginner intermediate.

StudioVeena - It's not that the spin is hard to learn. It's in this section because you can easily damage your shoulders if your not string enough

Cantetinza17 - O I see.

Katastrophe - I have such a hard time with this spin. I feel like I can't get enough momentum, and then I don't know which way my legs are supposed to go. I get the grab part just fine... -sigh- More practice.

Cantetinza17 - I always have to just step into it until its just second nature to do it. I can do it static, but its still a little tricky on the spining.

JelliCrew - Doing this in the air on spin is very hard... I've only been successful on a 40mm, on my opposite side, with a good hand grip aid--or else I fall down everytime. :-(

Amiloo - Hi Veena, I wonder if you could give me some advice, my instructor is wanting me to push out from this spin so that I end up facing back the other way, she says I need to push from my bottom hand. However I find I cant get any push from it, I think it might be as I quite far out from the pole. Does this sound normal? Is it something I will get with practice? Or am I doing something fundamentally wrong? Thanks!

StudioVeena - Once the body has come around the pole and your in the spin there is a slight push with the bottom arm. This will keep your body moving away from the pole.

Amiloo - Awesoem thanks alot!

StudioVeena - Sorry I meant pull with the bottom arm! Sometimes I do have the bottom are fully extended and if that is the case then there is a slight push coming from it. It's easier to break it down into steps by keeping the bottom arm close to the pole.
