Can easily do my normal butterfly and have been able to do for a while but really struggling with extended. I think I’ve got it but then watch video back and realise I keep bending my bottom arm and just sliding down if that makes sense

think about lengthening your third eye towards the pole so that your gaze is towards the top of the pole. engage the shoulder blades and core so that they are rock hard like a board. the shape of the arms, head, neck, torso, leg, and pole should be a nice visible triangle- NOT the head and torso parallel to the pole. 😀 post a video!!!

How are you entering into your butterfly? Also by normal do you mean using a split grip, or elbow forearm grip? Do you have a strong Caterpillar? Do you have a video? 🙂
