New from Texas/Mississippi-Kinda Long
Hi all!! My name is Kayla and I just joined! I am 27 and was born in Texas, but am now stationed in MS because the Navy told me I had to.
A bit about me......
I started dancing in high school with the color guard/flag choir. I joined the Navy and worked a side job as a go-go dancer on Waikiki Beach about 3 years ago. Only in the last few months have I been interested in pole dancing; I made a trip to Guam and made some friends with exotic dancers and they taught me a few things. Needless to say I was hooked.
Unfortunately shortly afterward I was put in the hospital for DVT for about 45 days and all I could think of was dancing. I actually told the doctor before one of my many procedures that I didn't care if I could run again...I just wanted to dance.
After a few almost-meet-god-scares and long plane flights home, I have made it my mission to learn everything I can about pole dancing. I have been taking it easy (I have only been out for 4 weeks) and can still do some of the tricks I learned before I got sick. (Fireman, Hook, Climbing). I can to SVeena to get great videos and advice from just starting off to advanced. I am really looking forward to strength training so I can be back to where I was before I got sick.
I am excited to be here and am ready to learn and make new friends that like the same things I do. Being in the Navy it is hard to tell people about my desire to pole dance....it could be construed the wrong way and I could lose my job. My other problem with pole dancing is going to be these horrible stockings I have to wear. So far they haven't been a problem though.
I guess I have said enough for this time!
So happy to meet everyone.
Kayla
